Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe the performance of elderly carriers and noncarriers of APOE 4, some psycholinguistic tasks, most semantic nature, in order to explore whether genotypic changes give rise to a distinctive linguistic profile. To do mean scores of a group of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and healthy individuals with differential genetic risk for developing AD Late and analysis of the results was performed from the main hypotheses and explanatory models were compared. ew tasks of semantic nature that are sensitive to changes between non- pathological aging and dementia, even among individuals with a differential genetic risk of developing AD are presented. The value of the results of this study lies in presenting some language tasks that are sensitive to cognitive changes between non- pathological aging and dementia, and even among individuals without dementia, differential genetic risk of developing AD. A longitudinal study could help determine which tasks are most predictive value. Keywords
