Summary
//Abstract: At the Clonal Cocoa Garden of the Departmental Association of Cocoa and Wood Products Producers of Caquetá Departament of Colombia, a research with the objective to evaluate the effect of soil pH change on nutrient availability and the response of four cocoa clones (Theobroma cacao L.), self-incompatible TSH-565 and ICS-39 and self-compatible ICS-1 and CCN-51, depending on the agronomic efficiency (EA) and fertilizer recovery efficiency (ERF) for N, P, K, Zn and B, yield and physical-chemical quality of the grain was carried out. It was developed in three phases: phase I started with the evaluation of seven doses (0- 1-3-5-7-9-11 t ha-1) with two liming materials (CaMg(CO3)2 and CaCO3), selecting the dose of 7 t ha-1 of CaMg(CO3)2 to increase the pH to ≥5.5, starting phase II, as soon as the pH reached ≥5.5, soil nutrient availability was estimated with and without a control treatment, increasing the availability of Ca2+, Mg2+, P, Zn2+, decreasing Al3+, Fe2+ y Mn2+. During the phase III, with four treatments: control, controlliming, control-fertilization (N, P, K+, Zn2+ y B) and control-limingfertilization in a randomized complete block design, the content of nutrients in leaf, husk and grain, EA and ERF, yield, percentage of husk, almond, fat, protein and fiber grain per clone was determined. The results showed differences in nutrient concentrations in cocoa tissues; CCN-51 had the highest values on nutrient use efficiency and yield; grain quality was not affected by changes in soil pH.Keywords
