Joan Fountcuberta in “The Kiss of Judas: photography and truth”, highlights two archetypal figures that, due to their connection with mirrors (Object related, in addition, to the construction of photographic cameras) can tell us about poetic fables related to photographic representation. On the one hand, Narcissus; on the other, the Vampire. Narciso personifies the notion of a being in love with his own reflection where he believes he recognizes someone else. The vampire who lacks reflection. Mirrors do not reflect his image. According to Fountcuberta and a wide sector of photographic image theorists, «Narcissus» and «Vampires» represent contrasting categories in the world of representation. In some, the seduction of the real prevails; in others, the frustration of desire, the hidden presence, the disappearance. Within the process of thought and reflection from my disciplinary field during the master's degree I have located these characters belonging to the world of myths to talk about the experience of the body when photographing. On the one hand, the narcissus alluding to the act of capturing images of the world to refer to oneself in a kind of falling in love with their own perception and what they experience. On the other hand, the vampire, the mythological being with no possible reflection in front of the mirror, now related to staying hidden, slipping through the shadows, being silent, being invisible. This preliminary reflection allowed me to go further in the search for elements that would allow me to describe the photographic experience from the body in different instances. 1. The bodily experience when photographing (we take photos with the body). 2. My body as a receptor of images of other bodies 3. My body as a receptor of my own image By reflecting on the experience of the body in these three states, I try to search for of ideas, processes, experiences and rituals, that allow me to observe How is teaching Photography? And what do we teach when we teach to photograph? Keywords
