Abstract

El presente trabajo, presentado como proyecto para aspirar al título de Magíster en Escrituras Creativas, consta de ocho cuentos, trabajados, corregidos y editados a lo largo de dos años, y un epílogo, en el cual se exponen las motivaciones, hallazgos, limitaciones, obstáculos y logros que cada uno de los cuentos representó para su autor. Los cuentos se enmarcan dentro de la tradición cuentística latinoamericana, evidenciando influencias y diálogos con autores que van desde los tradicionales Jorge Luis Borges y Julio Cortázar, hasta otros más contemporáneos como Roberto Bolaño. El epílogo cumple la función, asimismo, de un arte poética, en la cual el autor expone sus motivaciones artísticas y estéticas, su concepción de la literatura y el impacto que el proceso de maestría generó en su concepción del mundo y del arte.

Abstract. The following work, presented as a project to aim for the title of Magister in Creative Writing, consists in eight short stories, worked in, corrected and edited during the last two years, and in an epilogue, in which the motivations, discoveries, limitations, obstacles and achievements that each of the short stories represented to its author are exposed. The short stories are framed in the Latin-American short story tradition, evidencing influences and dialogues with traditional authors such as Jorge Luis Borges and Julio Cortázar, going through more contemporary ones such as Roberto Bolaño. The epilogue also works as a poetic, in which the author exposes his artistic and aesthetic drives, his understanding of literature and the impact that the master had on his view of the world and of art.
