dc.description.abstractThis article wants to illustrate how to learn quickly and sustainably the language in an academic German course, when attention is focussed on real interests, when students work on subjects they expect in the academic context, and when they are allowed to be active: to learn in autonomous way, to study original texts and to reflect their linguistic acting. After a general definition, there will be some few examples of practical “immersion” in a University course; but there will be also the difficulties to find with this immersive approach. These are not difficulties in method, because there is no classic, traditional method, but in changing behaviour in learning, in the students and also in the role of a teacher; a changement that could be discussed in German courses also out of Italy.
