The numerical solution of elliptic partial differential equations by the method of lines

Abstract

The Method of Lines is shown to be a practical and convenient technique for the numerical solution of elliptic partial differential equations. The method produces a system of coupled two-point boundary value problems which are solved using state of-the-art software.
