Indifference and social fabric. when the letter creates borders

Abstract

From a psychoanalytical perspective,the objective of this article isto discuss indifference as a positionwith respect to the Other, in orderto suggest that resorting to the letteris a result and a singular creationthat offers the subject a possibilityof creating ties, on the basis of alogic of openness and recognition ofalterity and difference. Situating thecause of indifference in the tensionbetween the Other and jouissancemakes it possible to address themodalities of participation and theawareness of the suffering of theothers as effects of insertion intothe social fabric, the logics that governits ordering, and the possibleinscription of the radical differenceof the subject. Jacques Lacan’s workon Pascal’s famous wager regardingthe inconsistency of the Other isused as a referent.

À partir d’une lecture psychanalytique,il est proposé de comprendrel’indifférence comme une positionface à l’Autre, pour poser le recoursà la lettre comme un précipité etune création singulière qui offreau sujet une façon de faire lien àpartir d’une logique d’ouverture etde reconnaissance de l’altérité, dela différence. Circonscrire la causede l’indifférence à la tension entrel’Autre et la jouissance permetd’aborder les modalités de participationet la sensibilisation à lasouffrance de l’autre comme effetsde l’insertion au lien social, aux logiquesqui règlent son organisationet l’inscription possible de la différenceradicale du sujet. Le travailde Lacan autour du bien connupari de Pascal sur l’inconsistancede l’Autre est pris comme référentde ce travail.

Desde una lectura psicoanalítica,se propone entender la indiferenciacomo postura frente al Otro, paraplantear el recurso a la letra comoprecipitado y como una creaciónsingular que le posibilita al sujetouna forma de hacer lazo desde unalógica de apertura y reconocimientode la alteridad, de la diferencia.Localizar la causa de la indiferenciaen la tensión entre el Otro y el gocepermite abordar las modalidades departicipación y la sensibilización alsufrimiento del otro como efectosde la inserción en el lazo social,en las lógicas que rigen su ordenamientoy la inscripción posible de ladiferencia radical del sujeto. En esteejercicio se toma como referente eltrabajo de Jacques Lacan sobre lafamosa apuesta de Pascal alrededorde la inconsistencia del Otro.
