Estimación del efecto del lixiviado del relleno sanitario doña Juana sobre la calidad del agua del Río Tunjuelo y su posible tratamiento en la PTAR Canoas

Abstract

El trabajo consiste en analizar el posible efecto de la descarga del lixiviado del Relleno Sanitario Doña Juana sobre la calidad del agua del Río Tunjuelo y de forma hipotética evalúa la posibilidad de conectar dicho vertimiento al interceptor Tunjuelo-Canoas, que conduce las aguas residuales del sur de la Capital a la Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales PTAR Canoas. Se analiza la posibilidad de efectuar un tratamiento conjunto con las aguas residuales domésticas evitando de esa manera el vertimiento directo de los lixiviados al río Tunjuelo. Para el efecto, se recolectó y analizó información disponible en diferentes entidades como la Unidad Especial de Servicios Públicos-UAESP, el Acueducto de Bogotá-EAAB, la Corporación Autónoma-CAR y la Secretaría Distrital de Ambiente-SDA, entre otras. Los resultados de la evaluación, considerando diferentes escenarios, muestran que el efecto de la descarga de los lixiviados, con o sin tratamiento previo, sobre la calidad del río Tunjuelo es considerable sin embargo debe tenerse en cuenta que el río viene con una alta contaminación río arriba, sin embargo y por tanto la conexión de la descarga al interceptor Tunjuelo-Canoas no solo resulta factible sino conveniente, dado que el aporte de carga orgánica y de sólidos suspendidos sería perfectamente asimilable en las instalaciones de la PTAR Canoas. Abstract. The work is to analyze the possible effect of the discharge of leachate Doña Juana Landfill on the water quality of the River Tunjuelo hypothetically and assesses the possibility of shedding the interceptor connecting said Tunjuelo - Canoas wastewater leading South Capital to Plant Wastewater Treatment Canoas WWTP. The possibility of combined treatment with domestic wastewater thus avoiding direct discharge of leachate to Tunjuelo River is analyzed.
