«Así pues, la mujer no habrá tenido todavía (un) lugar»: Butler Lee a Irigaray

Abstract

Parece claro que el pensamiento de Judith Butler se presenta como un pensamiento de corte antiesencialista. Por ello, puede resultar a primera vista paradójico establecer algunas herencias directas en esta posición de las tesis de la diferencia sexual de Luce Irigaray. Sin embargo, como se intenta mostrar aquí, partiendo de algunos lugares textuales en ambas autoras es posible establecer este vínculo entre ellas y, en particular, entender qué es lo que interesa a Butler en su lectura de la pensadora francesa.

Summary: It seems clear that Judith Butler´s thought is presented as anti-essentialist. Therefore, it may be at first glance paradoxical to establish some direct legacy in this position from Luce Irigaray’s thesis of sexual difference. However, as we try to show here, by reading some textual parts in both authors it is possible to establish this link between them and, in particular, understand what it is that really interests Butler when reading the French thinker.
