Huellas de africanía en San Andrés Isla

Abstract

Se presenta un ejercicio de reflexión y revisión sobre cuáles son los rasgos más distintivos de la ascendencia africana en la Raizalidad, y cómo estos se encuentran presentes en la cotidianidad del pueblo raizal. Para lograr esto, el artículo comienza analizando las formas en que, en el poblamiento inicial, se estableció una relación de dominación y poder entre los europeos y la población africana. Después se intentará demostrar la hipótesis sobre la génesis del pueblo raizal a partir del proceso de liberación de esclavizados, para finalizar rastreando las huellas de la africanía, hoy presentes en el pueblo raizal.

An exercise of reflection and revision about the most distinctive signs of African ascendency in the Raizalidad and how they are currently present in the daily life of the Raizal people is presented. To achieve this goal, the article begins by analyzing the different ways in which, since the initial settlements, a domination and power relationship was established between Europeans and the African population. Then, an attempt is done to try to validate the hypothesis that the genesis of the Raizal people derives from the liberation process of the slavered people, to end with a track of the signs of africanía that are present today within the Raizal people.
