dc.description.abstractLa presente propuesta tiene como objetivo mejorar el desempeño de los estudiantes de la institución educativa Abraham Reyes del municipio de Bello en el área de matemáticas, para ello se diseñó una estrategia de intervención basada en las TIC, apoyadas en la plataforma Moodle y los Objetos Virtuales de Aprendizaje (OVA), con el fin de fortalecer el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de la matemática, específicamente en el concepto de función. Estas herramientas tecnológicas permiten una variedad de ambientes motivacionales que buscan despertar un interés marcado hacia el adquisición de la matemática y orientados a una aprendizaje significativo crítico que permiten al estudiante ser competente en la matemática y en su diario vivir. Los resultados comparativos luego de la mediación, demuestran un mayor desempeño en los estudiantes que tuvieron su intervención en la plataforma Moodle y los objetos virtuales de aprendizaje, en relación con el grupo de estudiantes que trabajaron los mismos procesos conceptuales desde la pedagogía tradicional. Abstract The purpose of this study is to improve the performance in Mathematic subject of the Students at Abraham Reyes high school in Bello Municipality. In order to achieve this goal a strategy of intervention based on TIC’s was designed, it was supported in Moodle platform and (VOA) Virtual Learning Objects with the purpose of strengthening the mathematics teaching-learning process, specifically with the concept of function. These technological tools provide a variety of motivational environments which have as purpose to awaken interest to the learning of mathematics and oriented to a critical and meaningful learning which allow students to be competent with the use of mathematics in their lives. The comparative results after mediation, demonstrated a better performance in the students who intervened in Moodle platform and virtual learning objects (VOA) compared to the students who worked the same conceptual processes based on the traditional pedagogical way.
