This graduate work proposes a comprehensive methodology for managing organizational change in the face of digital transformation in the hydrocarbon pipeline transportation sector in Colombia. The research is based on an exhaustive analysis of existing organizational change models and methodologies, adapting them to the specific context of the pipeline industry. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. In-depth interviews were conducted with industry experts, questionnaires were administered to assess digital maturity, and a case study was carried out on two pipelines with distinct operational characteristics. Data analysis included techniques such as thematic analysis, evaluation of concordance coefficients, and the use of word clouds to identify emerging themes. As a result, the Integrated Organizational Change Model (IOCM) was developed, consisting of four phases: I) diagnosis and preparation, II) collaborative design, III) agile Implementation and, IV) reinforcement and evolution. The model incorporates elements of agile methodologies, design thinking, and socio-technical approaches, adapted to the specific needs of the pipeline sector. Expert evaluation of the IOCM revealed a high appreciation of its structure and adaptability, with average scores above 4.5 on a 5-point Likert scale for most of its components. Key strengths identified include digital maturity assessment, development of socio-technical strategies, and focus on continuous improvement. The study also identified areas for improvement, including the need for greater consideration of financial aspects and adaptability to different organizational scales. Recommendations for future research are proposed, including longitudinal studies and exploration of the integration of emerging technologies into the model. This research significantly contributes to the field of change management and digital transformation in the hydrocarbon sector, offering an adapted and validated model for the Colombian context. The IOCM provides practical guidance for organizations in the sector seeking to effectively navigate the challenges of digital transformation.
