Resumen
Realicé esta investigación en un intento de conectar con la pasión - mía y de muchas - por contar historias e imaginárnoslas. Este texto es una Historia que no se basa únicamente en archivos o hechos comprobables sino en la potencia vital, creativa y pedagógica de nuestras vidas. En otras palabras, es un texto de Historia que parte de una exploración curiosa y atenta de mi pasión por el pasado y su enseñanza. Partí de una revisión de mi propia tesis de pre-grado en Historia y Antropología para preguntarme por lo que yacía tras mis intereses académicos, aparentemente inocentes y objetivos. Terminé preguntándome por el olvido y del aparente vacío que este deja, para explorar, como historiadora, lo que ocurre con nosotras cuando decidimos enseñar desde lo que hemos olvidado. Esta tesis es una apuesta por pensar distinto lo que tradicionalmente se ha considerado de la Historia, su escritura y su enseñanza para poder hablar del arte de pensarnos el pasado de forma más creativa. Abstract
I developed this research as an attempt to reconnect with the passion - both mine and from others - of telling and imagining stories. In Spanish there is a differentiation between stories and history. Throughout the text I tried to reconcile the creative and engaging act of storytelling within History as an academic practice. Therefore, this text is a story (History) that is not only based on archival work or verified historical facts, but in the vital, creative and pedagogical power of our lives. In other words, this is a History that starts from a curious and attentive exploration of my graduate thesis in History and Anthropology to question my own academic interest thats somehow seemed so objetive and naive. I ended up questioning the act of forgetting, and the void that grows from it, to explore, as a historian, what is happening within us when we decide to teach and engage with the past while living through the void of what we have forgotten from our own lives. With this Thesis I committed myself to transform from within what I had traditionally though about History and its writing (storytelling) and teaching, to finally be able to consider the artistic power of thinking about the past from more honest and creative way. This, I hope, enables us to question the artistic practice that has been historically stripped off from History and its teaching.
