El análisis realizado a cuatro dígitos de la clasificación industrial internacional uniforme (CIIU) permitió clasificar los flujos comerciales de Santander y Venezuela de acuerdo a su carácter horizontal entendido como el intercambio de productos similares y el vertical que trata sobre los intercambios de productos de diferentes calidades. Este último se asocia con mayor valor unitario, expresado en un mayor beneficio económico. Se encontró que la naturaleza del comercio intraindustrial es en proporción mayoritario vertical donde Santander muestra una tendencia a producir la variedad de mayor calidad. (Texto tomado de la fuente)This paper measures the magnitude, nature and evolution of the intraindustrial trade (IIT) of Santander and Venezuela in the period 1990-2005. The analysis realized to four digits of the Industry Standard Commercial Identifier (ISCI) allowed classify the commercial flows of Santander and Venezuela according to his horizontal character understood as the exchange of similar products and the vertical one that treats on the exchanges of products of different qualities. This last one, associates with major unitary value expressed in a major economic benefit.
