En el primer capítulo se exploran los estímulos externos y las motivaciones internas subyacentes a la concepción del rascacielos para Argel, a partir de una revisión crítica de recurrencias discursivas presentes en los escritos de Le Corbusier. El segundo capítulo analiza la conformación del Proyecto E, revelando una lógica interna mediante el estudio comparativo de sus transformaciones sucesivas, lo que posibilita la formulación de una ecuación simbólica que integra razón y emoción en el proceso proyectual. El tercer capítulo se enfoca en la configuración visual del brise-soleil representado en el plano 3540, demostrando cómo este elemento expresa la artisticidad arquitectónica mediante la integración de estímulos sensoriales primarios y evocaciones psicológicas universales, mediadas por la modénature. La fundamentación teórica se apoya principalmente en el pensamiento de Le Corbusier, enriquecido con los aportes críticos y complementarios de Helio Piñón, Teresa Rovira y Josep Quetglas, quienes, desde diferentes perspectivas sobre la modernidad, el purismo, y la arquitectura, ofrecen las herramientas conceptuales necesarias para comprender la modénature como un factor mediador esencial en la manifestación sensible y significativa del brise-soleil. Finalmente, la investigación concluye que, en la obra de Le Corbusier, el brise-soleil y la modénature trascienden sus definiciones técnicas y ornamentales, configurando una construcción intelectual y perceptual capaz de alcanzar el umbral de la artisticidad arquitectónica. (Texto tomado de la fuente).This thesis presents an interpretation of artisticity in modern architecture through the analysis of modénature and the brise-soleil as key elements in Le Corbusier’s work, specifically in his projects for the City of Business in Algiers. The first chapter explores the external stimuli and internal motivations underlying the conception of the skyscraper for Algiers, based on a critical review of discursive recurrences found in Le Corbusier’s writings. The second chapter examines the conformation of Project E, uncovering its internal logic through a comparative study of its successive transformations, which makes possible the formulation of a symbolic equation that integrates reason and emotion within the design process. The third chapter focuses on the visual configuration of the brise-soleil represented in Drawing 3540, demonstrating how this element conveys architectural artisticity through the integration of primary sensory stimuli and universal psychological evocations, mediated by modénature. The theoretical foundation relies primarily on Le Corbusier’s thought, enriched by the critical and complementary contributions of Helio Piñón, Teresa Rovira, and Josep Quetglas, who, from different perspectives on modernity, Purism, and architecture, provide the conceptual tools to understand modénature as an essential mediating factor in the sensitive and meaningful manifestation of the brise-soleil.
