El propósito de este texto es entonces proponer una solución a dicha contradicción. Para esto en los dos primeros capítulos se hace un examen crítico del estado de este rico debate. El tercer capítulo está dedicado a una reinterpretación de la fuente primaria de la noción de propiedad de sí mismo, a saber, el Segundo Tratado del Gobierno Civil de John Locke. Dicha interpretación nos llevará a concluir la necesidad de examinar una distinta concepción de la libertad por lo cual en los capítulos cuatro y cinco se abordará la propuesta del republicanismo. La libertad como no dominación, concepción de dicha perspectiva, nos ayudará a solucionar la contradicción, a condición de hacer algunas alteraciones a la propuesta neo-republicana de Philip Pettit para evitar de las objeciones libertarianas.Abstract. Self-ownership and redestribution policies represent a mayor coherency problem for egalitarian democracies: the former, being the moral justification of property rights, is attacked by the reditributive taxation. Thus, the purpose of this text is to put forward a solution to that contradiction. In order to do this the first two chapters are devoted to a critical exam of the current state of the debate concerning that question. Chapter three is a re-interpretation of the primary source of the notion of self-ownership, i.e. the Second Treaty of Civil Government by John Locke. This interpretation will lead us to the necessity of taking into account a different conception of freedom. So chapters four and five will analyze the one proposed by the republicanism.
