Para lograr tal objetivo, se entabla un diálogo entre obras y teoría que da como resultado una construcción del concepto de lo siniestro como categoría crítica, más que como noción estética (en el sentido clásico del término), en relación con lo que las piezas escogidas para el diálogo “dicen”. El aporte metodológico del trabajo consiste en la generación de formas inéditas de “escuchar” a las obras. Aunque propiamente no hay conclusiones, ni tal es la intención de la indagación, el diálogo apunta hacia el señalamiento de ciertos “reales”, casi siempre vinculados con la violencia sociopolítica colombiana, que orientan la discusión hacia la articulación de lo siniestro con otros conceptos relevantes en la reflexión sobre las relaciones entre subjetividad y cultura, tales como goce, verdad, discurso y ética.Abstract. This thesis seeks to investigate the concept of the uncanny in some Colombian video artworks from the perspective of psychoanalysis. To achieve this objective, a dialogue between theory and artworks is generated, than results in a construction of the concept of the uncanny as a critical category, rather than aesthetic notion (in the classical sense), in relation to what the pieces chosen for dialogue "have to say". The methodological contribution of this paper is to generate new forms of "listening" to the works.
