Este trabajo hecho por José Celestino Mutis en el Virreinato del Nuevo Reino de Granada también incluye la traducción (primera a una lengua vernácula de que tengamos noticia) de buena parte de los comentarios realizados por Thomas Le Seur y François Jacquier al Libro I del texto newtoniano. Se presenta además la descripción codicológica del manuscrito que contiene la traducción mencionada y que se conserva en el Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid. (Texto tomado de la fuente).We present here the edition of the first known translation, from Latin into Spanish, of the Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica written by Isaac Newton. This translation was made by José Celestino Mutis in the Viceroyalty of New Granada and includes also a translation (the first known translation) of a big part of the notes to the Book 1 of the Principia written by Thomas Le Seur and François Jacquier.
