Desde una perspectiva geohistórica, los territorios regionales y a partir de ellos los nacionales, constituyen un producto de dinámicas socioespaciales en las que son presentes las herencias prehispánicas y coloniales, sobre las cuales se construyeron a su vez las configuraciones territoriales republicanas y se discuten los problemas socioespaciales del presente y futuro. La relación configuración espacial-procesos sociales-organización territorial, confluyen en la estructuración regional misma y una vez la región se convierte en un hecho concreto dentro de un contexto nacional estatal el Estado central incide sobre las configuraciones regionales y las regiones, en tanto actores territoriales, también lo hacen como condicionantes de las determinaciones tomadas desde el centro del poder nacional.Abstract: The research intends to analyze the pre-existence of the region to the National State, as a historical social construction and its role as the founding support of it in the AndeanAmazonian countries. From a geohistorical perspective, the regional territories and, from them, the national ones, constitute a product of socio-spatial dynamics in which the preHispanic and colonial inheritances are present, on which the republican territorial configurations were built in turn and the socio-spatial problems are discussed of the present and future.
