A partir de una comparación de dos textos que referencian el Festival en sus inicios y de una etnografía reciente, se hace un análisis de las transformaciones y resignificaciones que ha tomado el evento, mostrando el Festival como un lugar ambivalente que oscila entre intereses de cooptación estatal/comercial y reivindicaciones identitarias.Abstract. This paper presents a series of reflections on the Green Moon Festival held on the island of San Andres (Colombia), the musical traditions presented there and the identities that are constituted around the event.
