La investigación es un ejercicio de literatura comparada, que pone en diálogo obras escritas en distintas lenguas y de géneros literarios diferentes. En la primera parte de la tesis, contrasto las poéticas de Al faro y Nuevos poemas, con énfasis en cómo las artes plásticas influenciaron el desarrollo de estas propuestas artísticas. En la segunda parte, analizo de manera comparada Entre actos y Elegías de Duino, a partir de la hipótesis de que ambas parecen representar un cuestionamiento a la forma cuidadosamente ordenada en torno a un centro característica de Al faro y Nuevos poemas. En la tercera parte de la tesis, me dedico a leer de manera comparada Orlando y Sonetos a Orfeo, que comparten cierto grado de optimismo frente a la vida y a la tarea artística. Dicho optimismo contrasta con el tono elegíaco de Las olas y “Réquiem para una amiga”, tratadas en el último apartado. La investigación concluye que las poéticas de Rilke y Woolf son el resultado y el síntoma de la conciencia de las limitaciones del arte para expresar y transformar la vida, y están fundamentadas en la voluntad de expandir la experiencia subjetiva de lo particular a una que se pueda compartir y de la que puedan participar los demás seres humanos. (Texto tomado de la fuente)In the following study, I explore the ways in which Rainer Maria Rilke and Virginia Woolf comprehend artistic creation through the formal characteristics and reflections embedded in their literary works. The research takes a comparative literature approach, weaving together works written in different languages and in literary genres In the first section, I contrast the poetics of To the lighthouse and Neue Gedichte, focusing on how the visual arts influenced the development of these artistic proposals. In the second part, I carry out a comparative analysis of Between the Acts and Duineser Elegien, starting from the hypothesis that both seem to question the carefully ordered form centered around a core, a characteristic of To the lighthouse and Neue Gedichte In the third part of the thesis, I undertake a comparative reading of Orlando and Sonette an Orpheus which share a certain optimism toward life and the artistic task. This optimism contrasts with the elegiac tone of The Waves and “Requiem für eine Freundin”, discussed in the last section. In conclusion, the research reveals that the poetics of Rilke and Woolf emerge as a result and symptom of an awareness of the limitations of art to express and transform life.
