Sistemas agroecológicos y relaciones sociales en fincas de la cuenca del rio Chicú

Abstract

En la cuenca del río Chicú, Cundinamarca, Colombia la cobertura vegetal original ha sido fuertemente fragmentada. Hoy en día podemos observar una cobertura consistente en pastizales, cultivos, invernaderos, bosques plantados, cercas vivas, pequeños relictos de bosque natural y fincas agroecológicas. El análisis de estas fincas ha dado lugar al estudio de la Estructura Agroecológica Principal de la Finca (EAP) entendida como la configuración espacial de la finca que expresa su conectividad interna entre parches de vegetación, cuerpos de agua o sistemas productivos. En la medida que exista una mayor diversificación en el agroecosistema representado no solamente por la diversidad de especies cultivadas y arvenses, sino por la interconectividad de la EAP y de ella con la Estructura Ecológica Principal del Paisaje (EEP), brindará mayores posibilidades de regulación biológica y de oportunidades ambientales tanto a escala local como regional. / Abstract. In the basin of the Chicú River in Cudinamarca, Colombia, the original plant coverage has fragmented greatly. Today, we can observe a coverage consisting in pasturelands, crops, greenhouses, planted forests, living fences, small remnants of natural forest, and agroecological farms. Analysis of these farms has given rise to the study of the Principal Agroecological Structure of the Farm (EAP), understood as the spatial configuration of the farm, which expresses its internal connectivity among patches of vegetation, bodies of water, and productive systems. To the extent that there is greater diversity in the agroecosystem represented not only by the diversity of crop species and weeds, but by the interconnectivity of the EAP, and it with the Principal Ecological Structure of the Landscape (EEP) will provide greater possibilities for biological control and environmental opportunities both locally and regionally.
