Summary
Abstract. Public policies are technical-political instruments through which the State seeks to give solution to situations considered socially relevant. Within the existent approaches for the analysis of public policies, the Cognitive one stands out for having characteristics of great importance for the interpretation of the matters related to the territoriality of the indigenous peoples of Colombia. Nevertheless, an integral understanding of the complexity of these territories is necessary, therefore an approach to new analytical models as those proposed by the Enviromental Thinking is required. This dimension of thinking provides the basics for the development of brand new options in public policies that allow to get a better hold of the operation of the enviromental system within the indigenous peoples territories. At the end, what the reader will find is a new proposal of enviromental interconnection between public policies and the territorial ecosystems of the indigenous peoples. Keywords
