Crisis y utopía, el pensamiento histórico del joven Gutiérrez Girardot

Abstract

El tema de esta tesis es el pensamiento histórico del joven Gutiérrez Girardot. El problema principal es la transformación que experimentó ese pensamiento alrededor del año 1953. Los signos de esa transformación se manifiestan, sobre todo, en el lenguaje utilizado por el autor. En este sentido, las dos palabras clave son crisis y utopía. La tesis demuestra que la metamorfosis del pensamiento histórico del joven Gutiérrez puede verse en el cambio de posición con respecto a ambos términos, en un primer momento entendidos desde la perspectiva del conservatismo hispanocatólico y, luego, desde el punto de vista del humanismo de Alfonso Reyes.

Abstract. The subject matter of this thesis is the historical thought of the young Gutiérrez Girardot. The main problem to be dealt with is the transformation of this thought, which occurred around 1953. The signs of this transformation manifest themselves mainly in the language used by the author. The two keywords are crisis and utopia. The thesis demonstrates that the metamorphosis of Gutiérrez’s historical thought can be traced in his change pertaining the use of both terms, at first understood from the perspective of the Spanish-Catholic conservatism and then, from the point of view of Alfonso Reyes’ humanism.
