Abstract. The main objective of this work is to provide guidelines for the recovery of the quality of urban life of the street 10th of Tunja, which is the most important route of the historic center, which connects with the north and south of the city and today is deteriorated before the lack of maintenance and inadequate interventions of their assets of cultural interest. To this end, we first describe the most important aspects that have led to its configuration, such as the layout, topography and architectural development it has had as part of the center, with emphasis on unique buildings, such as churches and convents, around which the city was formed in the Colony and the Republic. This description is complemented with the look of the citizens towards the street, and then an assessment is drawn up that determines the aspects that make the 10th race unique; based on this, a diagnosis is made that covers their physical, functional, economy and normative problems, a final aspect that is emphasized in a chapter with the current state plans and projects of the street. Finally, lines of action are proposed, that is, strategies for the recovery and conservation of the 10th race as urban heritage.Palabras clave
