Vincular y distinguir: una propuesta filosófica desde Niiniluoto

Abstract

Resumen: El presente escrito pretende reconstruir de forma panorámica los argumentos que expresa el filósofo Ilkka Niiniluoto en su trabajo Ciencia frente a tecnología ¿Diferencia o identidad? (1997), en donde se defiende que la labor filosófica tiene como objetivo trazar distinciones conceptuales. Para ello, se analiza el núcleo central de su propuesta interaccionista, según la cual se plantea una distinción conceptual entre las nociones de ciencia y tecnología, en tanto que tales cosas se diferencian en términos de distintos objetivos, pautas de desarrollo y resultados. Esta tesis de Niiniluoto resulta ser contraria a la tesis contemporánea de tecnociencia en donde se considera que la ciencia y la tecnología son la misma cosa, en la medida que ambas cosas se encuentran tan vinculadas que se entremezclan en el entramado de lo social como un tejido sin costura. Al final se valora que la ventaja de la propuesta de Niiniluoto radica en que permite reivindicar la distinción entre ciencia y tecnología sin que ello niegue el hecho de que tales partes integrantes de la cultura y la sociedad humana se encuentran actualmente en mutua interacción dinámica.

//Abstract: This paper aims to reconstruct, in a panoramic way, the arguments that the philosopher Ilkka Niiniluoto expresses at his work Science versus technology Difference or identity? (1997), where it is argued that the philosophical work aims to draw conceptual distinctions. For this, the core of its interactionist proposal, according to which a conceptual distinction between the notions of science and technology arises, as such things are different in terms of different objectives, development patterns and results, is analyzed. This Niiniluoto’s thesis turns out to be opposite to the contemporary thesis of technoscience, where it´s considered that science and technology are the same thing, as long as both are so linked that intermingle in the framework of the social as a fabric seamless. At the end, it puts forward that the advantage of the Niiniluoto’s proposal is it allows the distinction between science and technology without denying the fact that such an integral part of culture and human society are currently in mutual dynamic interaction.
