Summary
Abstract: The main purpose of this doctoral dissertation is to propose an assessment model of the learning difficulties of addition and subtraction, that includes the normative-situated aspects that have not been approached by the models of traditional evaluation, from different sources of validity, From this perspective, the difficulty is assumed as failures in the access and recognition of the spatio-temporal nature of mathematical situations, the objects involved in those situations and the normativity that underlie them (Cussins, 2002; Fajardo, 2016; Klaassen et al., 2010; Okuyama et al., 2011; Rietveld, 2008). This study was developed in four phases. The first three are empirical studies that had as objective the development of a tests and the estimation of a type of difficulty: (a) The experienced difficulty, through the DESAS test; (b) The instituted difficulty, through the DISAS test; and (c) the attributed difficulty, through the DASAS tests, in its DASAS-D (teacher) and DASAS-E (Student) subtests. The last phase was aimed at obtaining a first evidence of the validity of the situated normative model through additional analyzes that integrate the information collected on the estimates of the difficulty of the previous phases. The results obtained indicate that the three instruments present adequate psychometric criteria and allow formulating inferences about the three types of difficulty. The potentialities of the evaluation model are discussed in the understanding of the difficulty, in terms of the student's adjustment to the situated normative requirements. Keywords
