// Abstract. The thesis presented, it shows how through biological metaphors is possible to consider new options for managing the business integration systems. The underlying assumption of research considers that integrated companies fit much better in highly competitive markets and also that biological alternatives have shown that species that work together to stay and perform more efficiently, co-evolve jointly. Integration is interpreted as the possible interaction performed by companies and organizations to achieve specific objectives and competitive advantages. Initially, the developed research examines the different forms of business integration, first from an economic perspective and then resuming the approach related to the management of organizations. Then, is established conceptually the metaphor as a proposed method for dynamic learning and integration, emphasizing particularly with the contribution projected from the biological sciences. In this sense, the document defined three areas of biosciences that are relevant for application in the context studied: evolution, ecology and sociobiology. The contribution of the research focuses on proposing an alternative of organizational management based on the biological metaphor, adapting the administrative process in a context of systemic management; this is based on the analysis of the foundations of this metaphor literally and figuratively developed between contexts biological and from business, respectively. Finally the document analyzed the favorable advantages which should emerge and consolidate from the application of metaphor in integration systems.
