Abstract. When treatments of radiotherapy are realized in zones of the body under the influence of the respiratory movement, is necessary to add a margin to the clinical target volume (CTV) to take into account the displacements that this may have. In general, the added margin, allows that the CTV is at all times within the beam of radiation, in such a way that in some moments of the respiratory cycle will be radiated a great quantity of normal tissue. In this work, there is demonstrated through simulations in a planning system, that with suitable margins part of the CTV could be out of the beam of radiation in some moments and yet, have adequate dosimetric coverage without compromising the tumor control but if protect more normal tissue.
