With logistics costs reaching 13.9% as a percentage of sales (DNP 2018), the design of strategies for managing freight demand in large Colombian cities is one of the main challenges faced by private companies and public institutions that participate in logistics activities in urban areas. In order to analyze the impacts of the change of schedule in the supply operations for companies in congested areas of Bogotá, this research quantifies the benefits that would bring from migrating the distribution, transportation and supply operations from the traditional daytime schedule to an unconventional night schedule, taking advantage of the availability of the city's road infrastructure. This study characterizes the dynamics of the supply logistics operation for a sample of companies in congested urban areas of the city of Bogotá, the logistics performance of companies is analyzed according to relevant indicators identified through a bibliographic review, operations are simulated of supply through a model and the impacts and alternative time bands are identified for carrying out the supply operations, finding improvements of 15% in operating time, 60% in travel speeds and 46% in the level of attention of the load generators for time bands between 8 pm and 6 am.
