Objective: To evaluate quality satisfaction and utility perception of the caregiver in regard to the use of different types of mobility devices in patients with CP with IV and V levels-functional classification. Methods: It is a retrospective descriptive study. Using Spearman’s non-parametric method a correlation research was carried out. The variables were the usefulness/satisfaction perception with the subtype of mobility device, patient age, origin (urban/rural), cerebral palsy subtype (espastic, dystonic, mixed), functional classification (GMFCS), schooling and socioechonomical levels of the caregiver. P- values for these correlations were adjusted using the Bonferroni correction factor. Results: 630 patients were included. 58.7% were GMFCS V. The most prescribed device for both groups was the wheelchair. The quality satisfaction/ perception was higher than 8 with percentages higher than 63% for all device types. The satisfaction/usefulness perception was positively correlated. There was no correlation between the usefulness and satisfaction perception with other variables. Conclusion: Different mobility devices types in Cerebral Palsy patients with IV and V functional classification levels give the caregiver complete satisfaction and total usefulness perception regardless these aspects: mobility device type, patient’s age, caregiver’s age, origin, CP subtype, functional classification or patient´s GMFM 66 evaluation, schooling, or socioechonomical level of the caregiver. Quality satisfaction and usefulness perceptions were positively correlated.
