This research analyzes the restructuring of the Bolivian mining movement, from the decomposition of 4 main axes; composed in its first part by the historical-theoretical approach of the Bolivian mining movement, (ii) the introduction of neoliberal policy and mining relocation, (iii) ruptures and continuities, the transfer of memory and mining experience; and finally, the analysis of the relationship of the MAS (MOVIMIENTO AL SOCIALISMO) with the mining movement, based on the idea of new representations arising from Bolivian trade unionism and the crisis of the neoliberal model. Thus, during this temporality that surrounds the period from (1985 to 2010), the implementation of the neoliberal economic policy that represents the rupture with the political past of the mining movement is covered. From this, it is found that the social, political and cultural role played by memory and mining knowledge in Bolivian culture represents a struggle for the survival of mining culture and the collective as a crucial part of Bolivian history.Palabras clave
