2022Resumen
Abstract
A volatility modeling process has been developed under the ARCH and GARCH parameters capable of interpreting the real volatility of variable income financial assets. The ten most representative actions of the MSCI COLCAP index in the third quarter of 2021 were used as the basis of study and were evaluated in periods with and without a COVID-19 pandemic. The application of the modeling process allowed to identify the existence of heteroscedastic components and the conditional variance of the actions. The results indicate that the persistence of volatility shocks, represented by the study parameters, is large, denoting that the effect of today's shock remains in the variance forecast for many periods in the future.Palabras clave
