This document studies the behavior of the voltage wave in an electric power distribution circuit of the local network operator, where different simulation cases that contemplate distributed generations are evaluated considering the current Colombian regulations. For this work, an analysis methodology based on simulations in the ATPDraw software is chosen, starting from the real parameters supplied by the network operator for a medium voltage distribution circuit. In addition, due to the large number of nodes in distribution networks, the network simplification methodology is integrated to reduce simulation times. Since the network operator must maintain power quality at the different points of the distribution system, the analysis of the graphical results of the voltage wave in different scenarios of distributed generation, load flow in stable and fault transients conditions, allows evaluate the power quality and verify the dynamic behavior of the system by having new energy sources that can change the current configuration and operation of the network. The tests carried out showed results where the voltage profiles at different points in the circuit can improve voltage regulation. However, it is important to control the income of the distributed generations, since these can hide the real demand of the system, this being an important input for making planning and operation decisions of the electric power system. |
