Condiciones de trabajo y accidentalidad de tránsito en conductores de taxi del Municipio de Soacha

Abstract

La accidentalidad de tránsito se ha convertido en un problema de salud pública, desde hace ya varios años todos los países están en la obligación de aportar a la reducción y control de este fenómeno. Objetivo: El objetivo de esta investigación se enfocó en analizar las condiciones de trabajo y accidentalidad de tránsito en conductores de taxi del municipio de Soacha, Colombia. Metodología: El diseño del estudio fue de corte cuantitativo transversal con un alcance descriptivo correlacional. Se utilizó como población N:200 y una muestra n:54 conductores. El instrumento que se aplicó fue la II Encuesta Nacional de Condiciones de Trabajo diseñada por el Ministerio de Trabajo de Colombia. Resultados: Se evidencia que las condiciones de trabajo de los conductores de taxi son coherentes con otros estudios, en cuanto al exceso de horas de trabajo y falta de garantía en condiciones mínimas de trabajo. Después del análisis correlacional de las variables, se evidenciaron algunas correlaciones significativas entre las condiciones de trabajo con la accidentalidad de tránsito, como el tiempo de traslado, orden, ritmo y distribución de tareas. Conclusiones: Se deberá continuar realizando estudios que verifiquen otras variables asociadas a la accidentalidad, con el fin de establecer estrategias efectivas frente a este fenómeno. Traffic accidents have become a public health problem, and for several years now all countries have been obliged to contribute to the reduction and control of this phenomenon. Objective: The objective of this research focused on analyzing working conditions and traffic accidents among taxi drivers in the municipality of Soacha, Colombia. Methodology: The study design was quantitative crosssectional with a descriptive correlational scope. The population was N:200 and the sample was n:54 drivers. The instrument used was the II National Survey of Working Conditions designed by the Colombian Ministry of Labor. Results: It is evident that the working conditions of taxi drivers are consistent with other studies, in terms of excessive working hours and lack of guarantee of minimum working conditions. After correlational analysis of the variables, some significant correlations were found between working conditions with traffic accidents, such as transfer time, order, rhythm and distribution of tasks. Conclusions: Studies should continue to be carried out to verify other variables associated with accident rates, in order to establish effective strategies to deal with this phenomenon.
