The risk factors associated with neuromuscular changes in the lower part of the body due to accumulated fatigue are more pronounced in female soccer players. Anatomical, hormonal, and biomechanical characteristics make women more prone to greater severity of lower body injuries. PURPOSE: To evaluate the effects of the competitive phase on the performance of the variables of the neuromuscular profile of the lower body of Colombian youth soccer players. METHODS: A prospective study was carried out on female soccer players from the Bogotá national team (U17 Division), who participated in the Colombian national soccer competition (1 month). Pre and post competition with the countermovement jump test (CMJ) and isometric hamstring test (IPF) at 90º - 90º of hip and knee flexion in the supine position, using uniaxial force platforms (PASCO - 1000Hz). In the CMJ, the variables analyzed were: jump height, peak power, average eccentric power, average concentric force, RFD eccentric deceleration, peak landing asymmetry, average eccentric and concentric force asymmetry. In the IPF, unileg strength of the right and left leg was measured. The statistical analysis was performed with the R software. RESULTS: Significant decreases (p-value < 0.05) were found in the CMJ performance variables, the IPF test recorded significant neuromuscular changes. CONCLUSIONS: The final performance of the CMJ variables indicate accumulated muscle fatigue in the extensor chain of the lower body, which is related to the eccentric and concentric phase of the vertical jump. The load effect on the test (IPF) significantly increased isometric hamstring strength in the dominant leg, however it identified postcompetition increases in hamstring strength asymmetries between limbs, which may be due to compensatory mechanisms of the movements which can cause long-term injuries.
