In this manuscript, the synthesis process of the ceramic material Sr2.68Nd1.32Ti2.68Mn0.64Fe0.68O12 is reported. This material was produced by the conventional solid state reaction method. By using the X-Ray Diffraction technique and Rietveld Refinement the structural analysis of the material was performed, obtaining a majority phase belonging to an orthorhombic crystalline system of perovskite type (space group Pnma #62) and lattice parameters a = 5.5093 Å, b = 7.7822 Å, c = 5.5284 Å. An average crystallite size of 29.737 nm was calculated through the Scherrer equation. Surface morphological study by scanning electron microscopy imaging reveals the formation of grains of different sizes and polyhedral shape with an average size of 1.412 ± 0.060 μm. Magnetic hysteresis curves evidenced a low coercive field (40 Oe < Hc < 100 Oe) of easy magnetization and demagnetization, characteristic of soft ferromagnets. The magnetic susceptibility as a function of temperature through Zero Field Cooling and Field Cooled procedures show magnetic irreversibility for external fields of 200 Oe, which disappears at applied fields of 2000 Oe, evidencing cationic disorder effects due to the compositional variety of the complex perovskite. The electrical response shows a resistivity that decays exponentially with temperature, conforming to a semiconducting behavior with Mott's variablerange hopping-type transport mechanism. This response is in agreement with that observed in volt-current curves, resulting in curves typical of thermistor-type materials. The results allow us to affirm that the material behaves as a weakly ferromagnetic semiconductor.Palabras clave
