dc.description.abstractEl incremento en la demanda mundial de aguacate (Persea americana Mill) cv. Hass y la importancia creciente del cultivo en Colombia, aumentan la necesidad de conocer los determinantes de calidad, la cual se considera como un parámetro diferenciador en el mercado. Por lo anterior, esta investigación tuvo como objetivos (i) Determinar la calidad física-química de los frutos de aguacate cv. Hass cultivados en diferentes regiones del departamento de Antioquia con una variada oferta edafo-ambiental; y (ii) Establecer la relación de los factores edáficos y ambientales con los parámetros de calidad asociados a la concentración de compuestos nutricionales en tres regiones productoras de aguacate cv. Hass en Antioquia, Colombia. La investigación se realizó en unidades productivas localizadas en diferentes altitudes en tres regiones productoras de aguacate cv. Hass en Antioquia. Se registraron variables edáficas y ambientales y se evaluó su relación con parámetros físicas del fruto, concentración de compuestos bromatológicos, ácidos grasos, elementos nutricionales y vitamina E. En los resultados se evidenció una diferenciación de origen del aguacate cv. Hass a nivel macro (región) y micro (finca) que es altamente influenciada por variables asociadas a la variación ambiental y el tipo de cosecha (principal y traviesa). Esta investigación aporta información de utilidad para establecer una diferenciación de calidad en función de la oferta edafo-ambiental relacionada con la composición bromatológica, de ácidos grasos monoinsaturados y minerales en el aguacate cv. Hass. Además, aporta elementos de utilidad a empresarios y tomadores de decisiones para decidir sobre la ubicación de los cultivos y reducir el riesgo de las inversiones. (Tomado de la fuente)
dc.description.abstractThe increase in the world demand for avocado (Persea americana Mill) cv. Hass and the growing importance of this crop in Colombia, raise the need to know the factors that control fruit quality, which is considered a differentiating parameter in the market. Therefore, this research had as objectives: (i) To determine the physical-chemical quality of fruits of avocado cv. Hass grown in different sites of the department of Antioquia with diverse soil and environmental offer; y (ii) To establish the relationship of soil and environmental factors with the quality parameters associated with the concentration of nutritional compounds in avocado-producing regions cv. Hass in Antioquia, Colombia. The research was conducted in farms located at different altitudes in avocado-producing regions planted with cv. Hass in Antioquia; diverse soil and environmental variables were registered and their relationship with physical variables of the fruit, concentration of bromatological compounds, fatty acids, nutritional, elements, and vitamin E was evaluated. The results showed differentiation in the quality of fruits of avocado cv. Hass at the macro and micro geographical levels associated with sites and regions highly influenced by variables associated with environmental shifts and the type of harvest (main and secondary). This research provides useful information to establish quality differentiation based on bromatological composition, monounsaturated fatty acids, and mineral content of avocado fruits associated with soil-environmental conditions. In addition, it provides useful elements for businessmen and decision-makers to improve the selection of the best locations for planting avocado commercial crops and thus reduce the risk of the investment.
