Summary
Abstract. This work was aimed at seventh graders (Cycle III) of the General Santander College (Location 10) in Bogotá. In it he proposed to integrate concepts of chemistry and biology, addressing the issue of food and energy production in humans, since in the context, students are part of the School Feeding Programme (PAE). To carry out the proposal a historical and epistemological review was conducted and disciplinary concepts food, nutrition and energy metabolism of different nutrients. Because in the daily pedagogical work and the fragmented structure of the curriculum, it is difficult to address these issues in a comprehensive manner (chemistry and biology), the methodological approach was reflected from building a virtual learning object (OVA) which responds to the pedagogical model adopted by the institution (Constructivism, from the theory of Meaningful Learning), seeking the apprehension of concepts and applying them to everyday student. Keywords
