Abstract. This monograph attempts to advance a comprehensive interpretation of the argument in the Protagoras where Plato argues that the akratic action is not possible in human behavior. This interpretation in particular concludes that the denial of akrasia plays such a fundamental role in the general argument identifying courage and knowledge that Plato is compelled to its truth. Keywords
