This final master's work allowed evaluating the degree of development of the cultural management and organizational structure facilitators associated with the capacity for innovation in Colombian software development organizations. The development of this objective was contemplated by a methodological design structured in three phases. The first phase was the development of the conceptual framework through a systematic literature review -SLR. The SLR identified definitions about innovation, innovation capability, culture and organizational structure. The SLR also identified the models to assess the innovation capability inside the software industry. The second phase was the characterization of the Colombian software development organizations which were participating in the study. The third phase was a complete analysis of the culture and organizational structure according to the model chosen; in consequence, organizational culture was the management facilitator with the lowest percentage compared to the organizational structure. There are some weaknesses related to the dimension of innovation implementation, especially in the indicators that seek to change the support processes in current business models and the allocation of measurable resources for the innovation agenda. Based on the previous results, some recommendations were proposed to enhance their innovation capabilities.
