dc.description.abstractEn los últimos años, los estudios en el campo de las aplicaciones móviles en las empresas se han orientado a la intención de uso y al impacto positivo o negativo que tienen las aplicaciones móviles en un contexto específico, pero son muy pocos los estudios que han evaluado realmente los beneficios que generan estas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC), particularmente en la industria manufacturera, teniendo en cuenta las dimensiones: Informacional, transaccional, transformacional y estratégica. En búsqueda de llenar este vacío, en esta investigación se analiza un caso de estudio de una empresa manufacturera alemana y mediante un análisis cualitativo, se entrevistan personas de tres niveles jerárquicos distintos en la organización (gerentes, administrativos y vendedores) con el fin de conocer y contrastar su percepción que sumado a la información financiera de la misma empresa permite identificar los beneficios asociados a la aplicación móvil que ellos han implementado. Se determinan varios beneficios existentes en la literatura, así como otros nuevos y se recomiendan beneficios adicionales que la aplicación podría generar. Para futuras investigaciones este trabajo servirá de marco referencial, de igual manera un documento de apoyo para las empresas que quieran implementar una aplicación móvil como herramienta de soporte en las labores de sus empleados y en la gestión de clientes, considerando aspectos importantes dentro de un proceso de digitalización o en un nivel superior de transformación digital.
dc.description.abstractIn recent years, studies in the field of mobile enterprises applications have focused on the intention of use and the positive or negative impact that mobile applications have in a specific context, but very few studies have actually evaluated the benefits generated by these Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), particularly in the manufacturing industry, taking into account the dimensions: Informational, transactional, transformational and strategic. In order to fill this gap, this research analyses a case study of a German manufacturing company based on qualitative analysis. For this purpose, people from three different hierarchical levels in the organization (managers, administrative and vendors) are interviewed in order to know and contrast their perception, which added to the financial information of the same company allows to identify the benefits associated with the mobile application that they have implemented. Several existing benefits are identified in the literature, as well as new ones, and additional benefits that the application could generate are recommended. For future research this work could be a reference framework, as well as a support document for companies that want to implement a mobile application as an innovative tool in the work of their employees and in customer management, considering important aspects within a digitalization process or at a higher level of digital transformation.
