dc.description.abstractEn este trabajo se presenta una propuesta para la alineación de la oferta y la demanda en una empresa de la industria de la moda localizada en Bogotá D.C., Colombia. Se identifican los factores de variabilidad, visibilidad y velocidad como aquellos que determinan la alineación de la oferta y la demanda en la industria de la moda desde el punto de vista de la gestión de la cadena de suministros; igualmente, se determina que el inventario mantenido por la organización estudiada es hasta 4.5 veces mayor que sus ventas, mostrando un bajo grado de alineación entre la oferta y la demanda; se caracteriza, evalúa y reformula la estrategia de cadena de suministros de la organización con el fin de mejorar la alineación de la oferta y la demanda a la luz de los factores identificados como determinantes. Finalmente, se llega a la conclusión de que la alineación de la oferta y la demanda en empresas de moda requiere de un enfoque estratégico en la gestión de la cadena de suministros, que debe estar totalmente alineada con el marco estratégico de la organización. dc.description.abstractThis research presents a proposal for the alignment of supply and demand in a fashion industry company located in Bogotá D.C, Colombia. The variability, visibility and velocity are identified as those factors that determine the alignment of supply and demand in the fashion industry from the point of view of supply chain management; likewise, it is stablished that the inventory maintained by the organization studied in this research is up to 4.5 times greater than its sales, showing a low degree of alignment between supply and demand; the organization's supply chain strategy is captured, evaluated and reformulated in order to improve the alignment of supply and demand based on the determining factors. Finally, it is concluded that the alignment of supply and demand in fashion companies requires a strategic approach in supply chain management, which must resonate with the strategic framework of the organization.
