The figure of oblivion present in a photographic image re-activated my way of looking at and understanding cinema, of looking at and understanding life, my life and my ways of operating in the field of art and affections. He asked me a fundamental question about memory and traces of memory. How does the cinematographic apparatus collect memory, but above all, how does the political, social and personal apparatus inscribe memory? I wanted to destabilize my way of operating in the world and in art. So, I understood that finding a device, my own device, was finding a strategy to act from desire. A cinematic device, but it went beyond that, a device to activate my body anesthetized by political, social and affective practices of my own and others; a device to reinvent the world, to reinvent my memories, to reinvent myself. And operating this device involved a gesture. Like reinventing myself, fictionalizing myself from desire entailed a gesture. The gesture that bids, that slits, that unravels. The gesture as a way of narrating and inhabiting the world, or possible worlds. The gesture as a space of freedom. So, through that gesture, make movies, make memories, make fiction.Palabras clave
