Fundamental frequency is defined as the number of glottal vibratory cycles per second, consistent with the lowest frequency produced by the larynx during phonation. This parameter is related to the masculinity and femininity characteristics of the voice, based on the high or low values of its production. Fundamental frequency is the parameter susceptible to intervention through voice therapy and phonosurgery, aiming to achieve an appropriate value for the patient's gender. The evaluation included an assessment of the femininity degree of the voice (very masculine, masculine, neutral, feminine, very feminine) as perceived by the participants (transgender women) and the fundamental frequency values obtained through stroboscopy for 7 participants. The fundamental frequency values had an average of 195.8 Hz (SD +/- 22.8), with minimum values of 160 Hz and maximum values of 240 Hz. Regarding the qualitative evaluation of the femininity degree of the voice, 57.1% of the participants considered their voices as masculine, while 28.5% (2 participants) considered their voices as very masculine, and only one participant, constituting 14.2% of the sample, considered their voice as neutral. Our study predominantly found a self-perception of masculine voices among the participants. Keywords
