Intervención musicoterapéutica en jóvenes entre los 20 y 22 años con sintomatología depresiva, de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, sede Bogotá

Esta investigación surge como respuesta a la creciente preocupación generada por los alarmantes índices de suicidio registrados en el país. De igual manera, resulta inquietante observar las estadísticas y los casos cercanos de individuos que actualmente enfrentan síntomas depresivos. Por esta razón la autora se centra en proporcionar intervenciones que impacten positivamente y aporten al sentido de vida de estas personas. El propósito de esta intervención es examinar los efectos de la musicoterapia en el sentido de vida de jóvenes, con edades comprendidas entre los 20 y 22 años, pertenecientes a la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, sede Bogotá, y que presentan síntomas depresivos. Para ello, se aborda la identificación de las manifestaciones depresivas de los participantes antes y después de la intervención. Además, se busca analizar la evolución del autoconcepto y la autoestima desde el inicio del proceso, a medida que avanzan en la terapia musical, con el propósito de fortalecer su sentido de vida. Esta investigación se basa en un enfoque cualitativo descriptivo y se desarrolla a través de tres estudios de casos, llevados a cabo en un total de siete sesiones individuales por participante y una sesión grupal. El enfoque se sustenta en los cuatro métodos de la musicoterapia, siendo la composición el método central. Durante el proceso se utilizaron herramientas como: entrevistas, encuestas estructuradas y semiestructuradas, ficha musicoterapéutica, matriz de observación, protocolos de sesión, entre otros. De igual forma, se utilizó una herramienta del enfoque cuantitativo como el Inventario de Depresión de Beck (BDI-2) pre y post intervenciones. Este método se dirige a orientar el sentido de vida, analizando las creaciones sonoro-musicales de los jóvenes participantes con el objetivo de abordar su autoconcepto, autoestima y sentido de vida, con el fin de reducir las manifestaciones depresivas. Los resultados del proceso arrojan un panorama alentador, evidenciando una transición desde una depresión grave hasta un estado de depresión leve en los tres participantes. This research is born as a response to the growing concern generated by the alarming suicide rates recorded in the country. Similarly, it is disconcerting to observe the statistics and the cases of individuals close to us who are currently experiencing depressive symptoms. For this reason, the author focuses on providing interventions that have a positive impact and contribute to the sense of purpose in these people. The purpose of this intervention is to examine the effects of music therapy on the sense of life in young adults aged 20 to 22, who are students at the National University of Colombia, Bogotá campus, and who are experiencing depressive symptoms. For this, the study aims to identify the depressive manifestations of the participants before and after the intervention. , it also seeks to analyze the evolution of self-concept and self-esteem from the beginning of the process as they progress in music therapy, with the prupose of strengthen the meaning of life. This research is based on a descriptive qualitative approach and is developed through three case studies, conducted in a total of seven individual sessions per participant and one group session. The approach is grounded in the four methods of music therapy, with composition as the central method. Throughout the process, some tools were utilized, including interviews, structured and semi-structured surveys, a music therapy record, an observation matrix, session protocols, among others. Additionally, a quantitative approach tool, the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-2), was used before and after the interventions to assess depressive symptoms. This method aims to guide the sense of life by analyzing the sound-musical creations of young participants in order to address their self-concept, self-esteem, and sense of life, with the aim of reducing depressive manifestations. The results of the process show an encouraging outlook, demonstrating a transition from severe depression to a mild depressive state in all three participants. It is recommended to carry out music therapy processes that involve longer intervention periods focused on the young population.Palabras clave
