Z. monophyllum presentó baja actividad in vitro y ninguna actividad en los ensayos in vivo. The floriculture is one of the sectors generates more foreign exchange in the exports of Colombia, 98% of the production of flowers is exported, so, our country is placed in the second world exporter of fresh cut flowers and the first in the case of carnation. This is affected by vascular wilt, caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. dianthi and grey mould, caused by Botrytis cinerea. In the search for new alternatives for controlling these diseases, natural products can become a source of new compounds more friendly to the environment. The objective of this work was to evaluate the antifungal activity of the extracts from Piper eriopodon (Piperaceae) and Zanthoxylum monophyllum, (Rutaceae) and their secondary metabolites majority on these pathogens. The methodology consisted of testing in vitro: qualitative probes (agar diffusion and direct bioautography in TLC) and quantitative methods (percentage of growth mycelial and minimal inhibitory concentration), assessment of the fungistatic effect and the percentage of germination of conidia, were also carried out tests in vivo, evaluating the phytotoxicity of the treatments and the antifungal activity evaluating incidence of disease. The results showed that in in vitro and in vivo assays, the extract with greater antifungal activity was P. eriopodon. Z. monophyllum presented low in vitro activity and any activity in the in vivo tests. The secondary metabolites majority show low activity in the qualitative probes in vitro, and none in the quantitative tests. It can be concluded that with the evaluated concentrations, the antifungal activity is presented by the plant extracts and not their secondary metabolites majority, this phenomenon is probably associated with the synergy between the constituent compounds from each extract and the composition of the same.Palabras clave
