The growth of the avocado crop requires innovation to achieve the objectives of sustainability and growth. Knowledge and technology are a tool and dissemination processes are a necessity at the end of the process. Due to the above, the avocado subsector needs to know the technological offer, the technological state of the producers, and those determinants of adoption. To date, there is no report that contains this information and that enables decision-making regarding knowledge management in this subsector. The objective of this research was to characterize the level of technology adoption and the associated factors in avocado-producing agribusinesses. Three stages were considered: (i) identify the technological offer, (ii) evaluate the technological level and (iii) identify the determining factors of technological adoption in avocado producing agribusinesses. The data was obtained from a bibliographical review, exploration in the network, and surveys. Bibliometric, data science, and multivariate statistical tools were used for the analysis. Trends were found in the marketing and transformation of avocado. The offers are wide, but they are not successfully transferred, collaborative strategies are required that allow linking various actors. Avocado producers have medium to high technological levels. The adoption factors with the greatest weight are those that allow better yields and income. The methodology used serves as a basis for future approaches to technological aspects. The results obtained here serve as input for institutions that generate knowledge and are in charge of technology transfer in this subsector.Palabras clave
