Un duelo ¿terminable o interminable?

Abstract

Aunque no se trata de una pérdida “real”, se postula que la pérdida del padre del Complejo de Edipo puede considerarse tributaria de un proceso de duelo, tanto porque cambia la relación misma con el padre como porque implica un relanzamiento del deseo. Asimismo, la función del padre real se plantea decisiva para tal duelo por el padre imaginario y se ilustra a partir de un texto literario. Por las características de dicho duelo, se interroga si la elaboración que este puede tener alcanza un punto final (relacionable con el fin del análisis) o si, por el contrario, es interminable. Résumé Quoiqu’il ne s’agisse pas d’une perte réelle, il est dit que la perte du père au complexe d’OEdipe peut être envisagée comme subordonnée à un processus de deuil, parce que le rapport même au père change et cela implique un regain du désir. On pose aussi qu’un tel deuil du père imaginaire exige la fonction déterminante du père réel, illustrée ici à partir d’un texte littéraire. Vues les particularités dudit deuil, est-ce que son processus peut bien arriver à une fin (qui serait en rapport avec la fin de l’analyse) ou bien serait-il infini ? Abstract The article suggests that although it is not a “real” loss, the loss of the father in the Oedipus complex can be considered subject to the process of mourning, because it changes the relationship with the father and implies a renewal of desire. With an illustrative literary text, the paper also shows that the function of the real father is decisive in the mourning of the imaginary father. Finally, by the characteristics of that mourning, it also poses the question of whether that process of mourning reaches an end (that can be related to the end of analysis), or whether, on the contrary, it is interminable.
