To achieve the research objectives, a qualitative methodology is used, which is divided into a systematic literature review (SLR), a survey directed at leaders of companies that are part of the construction value chain and concludes with the report and conclusions of the findings in the first two phases. There is a growing interest from academia and industry in the implementation of CE in the sector, as well as the impressions obtained from the survey respondents, the importance of recognizing the challenges of this economic model, the implementation strategies for the sector that seek to improve resource efficiency, product design, systems and buildings, and the potential for the development of new circular business models (CBM) or the transformation of existing businesses towards a CE and sustainable development of the construction industry.eng
